Heritage.

I have been working on my paternal grandmothers photos from her earlier years. When nan was put into the nursing home, she gave my dad all her photos so i have been scanning them and reproducing them.

I have also decided to do some 8.5x11 albums as I loveworking with the smaller size now, it is so much fun to do and you don't have to over-embellish to cover up white areas.

This is my nan Ivy Elizabeth and her sister Aunty Belle (Stella) on her wedding day. I love using the browns and added a little pink to break the browns up.

This is also my nan Ivy with her sisters and her mum and dad. I have never met great grandnan and great grandpop but I am told they are wonderful people.

I still have to get dates off my dad and make sure I have the sisters names right. I hope you like my pages.

Pink Ribbon

A forum that I am a member of here in Australia and in America posted a challenge to use the pink ribbon for Breast Cancer on a layout so I decided to create a layout celebrating women.

The journalling reads:

To be thankful for being a woman, you have to think of reasons why you want to be a woman.


Some of the reasons I am thankful for being are a women are:
The amazing connection we have with our girlfriends, we can tell them everything that is on our minds. They support us through thick and thin.
We can talk about our feelings and express how we are feeling emotionally and physically. We can cry, scream, moan or yell. We express what is bothering us.
We create life, how amazing is it that we can grow another being inside of us. This is an amazing and wonderful experience.


These are the reason why I love being a woman. This layout is dedicated to all women and especially who have been touched with cancer, never forget that you are all woman, no-one can take that away from you.

I am very happy with the way the LO has turned out.

Christmas in my house early.

My mum and dad have decided to give us a hymalian kitten (Zoya) for Christmas to replace Junior. She is the most adorable little thing I have seen and she is only 4 days younger than Xavier so they will make good friends.

Isn't she lovely.

Mum has the most amazing coloured kittens at the moment. She has one of Zoya's brothers that is brown on the top coat and black underneath and has light brown stripes. He is amazing.

Well I haven't been scrapbooking much, been a little sick with the vomiting virus that stayed for a week. Bad lightheadness and fatigue but I am slowly getting over it now.

One project I did work on this week was an altered spice rack to store my bottles of beads. I might have to do another one for my Fancy Pants bottles. I have the full set so will have to store them central so I remember to use them and not just hoard them.

Xavier at 3.5 weeks.

This is Xavier at 3.5 weeks.

He is such a little darling. He is at the age now where if you scratch him under his chin, he slaps at you and plays back.

Lali asked for an updated photo so here is my little man.

Kittens.

Our cat Tigger had kittens on Sunday 18th September and at first her milk didn't come through so I was dropper feeding them.

She had 2 adorable ginger male kittens. They are so gorgeous. 1 is a real loud whinger and the other one is so quiet, sometimes you can forget he is there.

Tigger has now got her milk through and she is a very protective mother to her babies.

It is so cute that as young as they are they have claws already and whiskers too. Its amazing how developed they are born.

I am currently working on my FKs layouts so I can post them this Thursday.

I have done 3 so afr with 2 more to go. I am having alot of fun working with the photos which I am very happy with. My camera takes great photos, so sharp and with such detail.

I just wanted to say Good luck to all the talented scrapbookers that are entering this competition.

This is a layout I did of Junior. He was rambling through the bin looking for the chop bones I threw out. In the bottom picture, he is licking his lips. What a cheeky bugger.

New Blog.

I have always wanted to keep a journal but never stick to it.

I would like to use this blog mostly for my scrapbooking as I would like to develop my style and improve my pages. I will from time to time upload a page or two so any readers can see what i have been doing.

So just to introduce myself, here are a few snip bits about me.

• I live on the South Coast of NSW with my husband Peter. We got married in November 2004.
• I have been scrapbooking for 20 months now and I love every minute of it.
• I currently hold a position on LC's Creative Scrapbooks Angel Team (Design Team) and I am in my 4th month. I am loving this very much as I get to play around with supplies that I normaly wouldn't buy.
• I have never submitted to any magazines but am going to submit to the For Keeps Elite Team and Awards of Excellence. I think even if I get rejected, this will increase my confidence in submitting.
